"Brunettes have more fun"
Ok. Is that true? I sure as hell hope so. I am wearing a T-shirt today that states that very opinion/fact. I never thought I would buy such a shirt let alone wear it outside the house, but I did today. It's all about confidence. I think I can pull it off. I think it would be awesome if I could find one small enough to fit my daughter. That would be funny. To me anyway.
Since I have two new readers I thought it would be a good time to explain the idea of where my blog name came from and then I thought it would be a good idea to hear from everyone who reads this, how or where they came up with theirs.
My story is simple and means a lot to me. I had it posted here a long time ago, about a year ago when I constructed the original untouched version, but that was deleted and so here I go again w/ the story.
Wingring's origin - A long time ago, back in 1990-1991 I hung out with a bunch of good guys. One of them I actually am still very close to. There was this one kid, E, who always had a crush on me. He was the one in the group that everyone picked on. I never really paid much attention to him, I had a crush on one of the other guys in the group. One day he asked me to marry him, we were 16, he proposed with a ring - a ring from the cracker jacks box - This was no ordinary ring. It was a wingring. It was a little cardboard "ring" that you had to put together and when assembled it was an airplane. I did accept the ring. However, somehow, and I don't remember how anymore, he ended up getting the ring back. One day about 3 years later he showed me that he still had in in a jar. How sweet : ) And that is the story of wingring. I am very connected to my friends and my youth. It is who I am and where I come from.
So please share how you came up with the titles for your blog.

Brunettes do have more fun - people assume blondes are easy and dumb, redheads are badtempered and blackhaired people are scary!
My blogname was easy. I come up with the idea of keeping a diary of my travels to and from Charlton to Derby and Charby was a way of combining them both and it sounded better than Derlton!
Well, I've never been a blonde, but I'm a brunette (au natural), was a red head for 10 years or so, and had black hair for a year when I was in college, and for about six months now. I'm always having fun, no matter the color.
As for my blog, it's fairly obvious. I started it as a place to write about my the underside of my life... my nightime adventures--the "Mr. Hyde" part of my life that I didn't want interefering with my "Dr. Jekyll" responsible existence.
It's more than that now, but I still like the name "Hyde"...
Brunettes definetly have more fun. You are a very fun and outgoing girl. You gave me the best summer of my life. You love to discover new things and re-visit old hangouts and share all these great things with your friends. That is a great quality and i hope you never lose it.
I got my nickname here in blogland cause i love all the yummy things out there like popcorn and ice cream and root beer floats and tandy cake. Mmmmmmmmmmm
I hope you're right about the brunette thing. I was blond as a child but as I grew my hair turned brown. Do I have more fun now than when I was a kid? I'm not sure, let me get back to you on that.
My blogname is a bit of a pun: since my last name is pronounced "fight" and since Fight Club is one of my favorite movies (not to mention a good book), I went with "feitclub." I had hoped for it to be a gathering point for my friends and family (hence the "club" aspect) but sadly this has not happened. In any case, I love blogging and won't stop just because my target audience isn't reading.
Simply, mine is named "World of Flash" because it's all so... me, me, me, me!
Brunettes DO have more fun. I know I am now that I am not a erky redhead anymore...If I had a dollar for all the "onery redhead" comments I got...sheesh.
Oh, hi, by the way.
I titled mine after a song by Ani Difranco, a fantastic indie/folk/rock artisit. Her album "Little Plastic Castle" is my favorite. The line in the title track says "They say goldfish have no memory, I guess their lives are a lot like mine, and the little plastic castle is a suprise every time. Its hard to say if tehy're happy, but they don't seem much to mind"
It suits me, and my life. And my writing, which is a little erratic, as far as topics go.

mine is a long long story , and maybe I am delusional I don't know, but I swear on NPR a long time ago, I was listening while during a depressed time in my life, had moved back from florida into the parent's again (utterly terrible time). They described 'coldflow' or a state of mind where you can be physically in a place of deep despair, and as you find an activity in that place you can actually forget everyting around you and be so focused you can actually find happiness and joy if only momentarily. I think they called it coldflow. But, I've never been able to verify that anywhere. In fact is is mostly used in reference to air conditioners. So then I got to thinking about this word that I identified with at the time, and changed it to start with a k, so koldflow, so KF are my initials, and if you take that off, you have 'old low.' I will not easily forget the old low, the result of going against my best intuitions and making decisions to stay in an unhappy relationship, move to a state I never would have wanted to move if I were on my own...and hopefully with the blog I will never go back there and never make life choices that contridict who I am. I still don't know what my blog is, but it has helped me keep in contact with a friend in oregon, stop smoking, loose weight and get into shape, feel better emotionally, and provide me with a way to reflect on footprints of my life.
I'm a new reader - hi!
Generally, aren't most "blondes" actually "bleached-brunettes", so I guess brunettes must have all the fun!? :)
I got my nickname during my first year at uni; being vertically-challenged, I was described as "teeny-weeny". This became shortened to "weenie" and has stuck.
